Northern Manitoba Landscapes

The landscapes of Northern Manitoba were sculpted by the receding glaciers of the Ice Age. Thousands of pristine lakes are cradled by the boreal forest that climbs gravel eskers and sprawls through bog and Precambrian shield country to eventually reach the tundra to the north. Mighty river systems that power electric generating plants once carried the fur trade. Remains of fur trading posts can be found along the Grass River system not far from my home. I have tried to capture some of the beauty of our region in my images.
